How Coaching Works…
If you choose our 1:1 Dedicated Coaching Membership, the first thing we will do is match you with your perfect coach, depending on your experience, goals, location, personality, and budget.
From there you start the planning process...
As you and your new coach get started together, you’ll have a chat to learn more about you, including your short, medium, and long-term goals, as well as your weekly timetable, which is essential to tailoring training to you.
Your training is extremely personalised, taking into account your current performance ability, history in sport, recent training data, target races, your environment, and even your genetics (optional). Your training will include a mix of sessions and varying intensity that provides the perfect balance of training stress and recovery to optimise your improvement and get you ready to race at the best of your ability.
At Precision Coaching, we believe no single coach can be an expert in everything — and that’s exactly why we work as a team.
When you train with us, you’ll have a lead coach who gets to know you, your goals, and your training needs — but they don’t work in isolation.
Behind the scenes, they collaborate with the wider team to make sure you’re getting the best insights, the smartest guidance, and the most complete support possible. You’re not just getting one coach — you’re getting an entire coaching team invested in your success.
Having coached 1000s of athletes, we have developed a coaching approach that works for real people.
Your coach will regularly communicate with you via email, phone, video, and messaging in the TriDot app so that you have the motivation, knowledge, and guidance you need to be successful.
You can expect your coach to provide tangible knowledge like training tips, gear selection, transition tricks, nutrition guidance, goal setting, event selection, race pacing/tactics, recovery tips, and form analysis. Beyond that guidance, your coach will provide accountability, motivation, mental and emotional support, and work with you to establish an effective and fulfilling life-sport balance.

What could you achieve with the right coach in your corner?
Are you training hard but not quite seeing the results you expected? Wondering if you’re leaving performance on the table? You’re not alone. Many triathletes juggle work, family, and training — doing their best with whatever plan they’ve found online or from a coach who doesn’t quite “get” them. But what if your training truly reflected you? Your goals. Your schedule. Your strengths. Your struggles.
At Precision Coaching, we believe the right triathlon coaching relationship doesn’t just guide your training — it transforms what you believe is possible. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, stepping up to a new distance, or reclaiming your confidence after a setback, we’re here to help you achieve your goals and realise your potential.

Am I good enough to have a coach?
This is perhaps one of the most common questions we see athletes of all abilities ask of themselves. And the simple answer is… YES. Of course you are!
Coaching isn’t reserved for the so-called ‘best’ athletes, coaching is for everyone.
If you want to set and achieve goals, coaching is for you. If you want to discover and realise your potential, coaching is for you.
If you want to train smarter, stay motivated, and actually enjoy the journey, coaching is for you.
Do I need specific equipment or technology to get involved?
No, you don’t need fancy equipment or the latest tech to get started. The most important thing is simply having the motivation to begin. A basic bike, a pair of running shoes, and access to a pool (or open water) are enough to kick things off. Over time, you can add gear or gadgets that suit your goals and budget—but they’re not a requirement to start your triathlon journey.
I have had bad experiences with coaching in the past, how will this time be different?
That’s completely understandable—and more common than you might think. Coaching should feel supportive, not stressful. This time, it’s about finding the right fit: a coach who listens, adapts to your needs, and helps you grow at your pace. You’ll be part of a collaborative process, not just handed a one-size-fits-all plan. Communication, trust, and personalisation are at the heart of it—so you feel heard, challenged, and genuinely supported every step of the way.
How flexible is the training if my plans change or I get injured or ill?
There’s a saying in the military that says “no plan survives first contact” — good coaching accounts for that - life happens after all. Training should be flexible enough to adapt around work, family, travel, injury, or illness. Whether you need to shift sessions, scale things back, or take time to recover, your training can be adjusted to keep you moving forward safely and sustainably. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s progress, even when things don’t go to plan.
What kind of feedback will I get and how often?
You’ll receive regular, tailored feedback that helps you understand not just what to do, but why it matters. This might include analysis of your sessions, check-ins to review progress, and guidance on areas like pacing, technique, and mindset. How often depends on your coaching setup—but expect consistent communication that keeps you motivated, on track, and always clear on your next steps. Feedback isn’t just data—it’s support, encouragement, and course-correction when you need it.
What results have your athletes achieved?
Our athletes have achieved a wide range of results—because our coaching is built for real people with real goals. We’ve guided hundreds to international age group level, with many earning Top 10 finishes and podiums across all distances. But just as importantly, we’ve helped countless others complete their first race, take on new challenges, and enjoy the journey along the way.
